Inflammation
can lead to many common ailments such as arthritis,
carpal
tunnel syndrome, tendinitis,
tennis
elbow, plantar
fasciitis, bursitis,
myalgia,
back
pain and muscle

your body`s natural defense mechanism against trauma,
it can begin to have a detrimental effect on the
human body if left to recur. Known as the general
public's silent killer, inflammation has been responsible

Arthritis
/ Arthritic Joints
Arthritis
is a term referring to a variety of conditions
characterized by inflammation of one or more
joints. A chronic disease of which the causes
remain unknown, rheumatoid
arthritis does have a genetic link. Unlike
osteoarthritis' wear-and-tear damage, rheumatoid
arthritis affects the lining of your joints
which causes the painful swelling that can
eventually lead to joint deformity and the
erosion of bone erosion.

Carpal
Tunnel Syndrome
Carpal
tunnel syndrome is pressure on a nerve
running through the wrist which supplies feeling
and movement to parts of the hand (median
nerve). It can lead to numbness, tingling
or weakness in the hand and fingers. The median
nerve enters the hand through the carpal
tunnel and provides feeling and movement
to the palm, thumb, index finger, middle finger,
and part of the ring finger.

Tendinitis
/ Tennis Elbow
A tendon is the fibrous, flexible structure
that connects muscle to bone. Your body's
skeletal muscles move your bones by contraction
and expansion. The tissue that transmits the
force of the muscle contraction to the bone
is the tendon. Tendinitis
is inflammation, irritation, and swelling
of a tendon. If chronic, tendinosis
(tendon degeneration) also occurs.

Plantar
Fasciitis
Plantar
fasciitis is painful inflammation of the
thick tissue on the bottom (sole) of the foot.
This tissue is called the plantar fascia.
It connects the heel bone to the toes. Plantar
fasciitis occurs when the thick band of tissue
on the bottom of the foot is overstretched
or overused.

Bursitis
The membrane near a joint cushioning the muscle
and bone is called the bursa. The plural form
is bursae. There are 160 bursae within the
human body. Located in between the muscle
and bone, the bursa's fluid-filled sac reduces
friction stemming from movement. Bursitis
represents inflammation of the bursa, which
typically manifests in the knee, hip, elbow
and/or shoulder.

Sport
Strains and Bruises
A muscle
contusion or bruise
can result from contact with a hard surface,
a piece of equipment, or another player while
participating in sports or an impact fall.
The ensuing bruise occurs when muscle fiber
and connective tissue are crushed. Often a
bluish skin appearance can result from torn
blood vessels. Most bruises
are minor, but some can cause more extensive
damage and complications.

Myalgia
/ Lower Back Pain
Myalgia
is a general term for a symptom caused by
a variety of disorders and medical conditions.
It represents pain in a muscle or a group
of muscles. Muscle
aches and pains are common and can involve
more than one muscle. Muscle
pain also can involve ligaments, tendons,
and fascia, the soft tissues that connect
muscles, bones, and organs.
